I am an independent freelance technical writer and editor who offers marketing, editorial
and exhibition support for both PR agencies and in-house marketing departments
Why me? As a degree-qualified engineer, with long experience and a deep insight into publishing, PR and marketing, I offer a unique spread of skills and capabilities and can quickly grasp technical concepts and turn them into effective, lucid marketing copy and PR.
My primary M.O. is to work with publishing companies, PR/marketing agencies and in-company marketing departments to reinforce and supplement their existing writing and editorial capabilities. I have also demonstrated great success at trade shows, supporting clients both as a press officer and presentation chair/facilitator.
History: After working at Matra Marconi Space (now Astrium/Airbus) as an engineering team leader, overseeing the production of civil and military space flight hardware and ground systems, my editorial career began at Findlay Publications. Here I spent eight years as technical editor and eventually editor of ‘Eureka‘, a leading UK engineering design magazine. After leaving publishing, I worked as a public relations account director for three leading technical public relations companies (head hunted by two of them) supporting well known international blue-chip engineering, technology and consulting companies.
